3 Day First Aid Requalification. 2 Day; 1 Day Online + 1 Day Face-to-Face
The online first aid at work requalification course is a great way to reduce the 2-day refresher to a one-day face-to-face course. This allows the learner to access the First Aid Requalification course by studying one day online (6 hours) followed by the second day with a trainer face to face. Suitable for those that have an in-date First Aid at Work qualification that is nearing expiry from 2 days of face-to-face training with a trainer to one day of face-to-face training when studying online.
This is a Regulated qualification overseen by Ofqual and meets the requirements of the First Aid at Work Regulations 1981.

What Course Do I Need?
The Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate (EFAW) is suitable for low-risk workplaces such as offices and is one day in duration, however, if you are in a high-risk workplace, such as construction, forestry, agriculture, or a glazier your staff may need to undertake the three day course in First Aid at Work (FAW).
The type of First Aid Course your workplace will need is dependent on your First Aid Needs Risk Assessment.
This is a Regulated qualification overseen by Ofqual and meets the requirements of the First Aid at Work Regulations 1981.
First Aid at Work Certificate
- On completion of the level 3 FAW Training.
- Successful First Aid at Work 3-day students will be given a regulated (RQF) FAW certificate.

First Aid at Work Renewal
- The First Aid at Work qualification is valid for Three Years from the date of successful completion.
- First Aid at Work Students will need to attend a First Aid at Work renewal when nearing expiry. This is also known as a 2-day first aid requal course or FAW requalification.
- The safety executive, HSE, strongly recommends employers to allow staff to complete annual EFAW training every 12 months whilst their FAW certificate is in date.
Have you thought about blood loss in your workplace?
- The HSE (Health and Safety Executive) recommend where blood loss or uncontrolled bleeding is a possible risk in the workplace, for example working with machinery, specialist training is provided.
- Including training in the use of catastrophic haemorrhage control devices and blood loss control products.
- Catastrophic haemorrhage training can be provided on all Regulated First Aid courses.
- Including Emergency FAW and FAW courses and this will be annotated directly onto the First Aid Certificate.
Do You Work Outside?
- Persons employed in forestry need to think about additional risks of working outside, such as injury or illness. Ask yourself, would you know what to do?
- The Forestry First Aid +F is a Two-hour course as required by the Forestry Commission and includes training in Catastrophic haemorrhage training.
